Gourmanity Hungarian Sweet Paprika 1lb

Anyone who's made Chicken Paprikash knows that it requires a lot of paprika! This paprika fit the bill perfectly for me. It's fresh, in a sturdy resealable bag, is actually from Hungary, has a beautiful rich color aroma, and the price was very reasonable. I will purchase it again highly recommend it!

So i was hoping for a nice, ddep red paprika like i remener when i young, but this seems like it was peppers and seed. It has a faint red tint to it, looks like maybe its been sitting for a long time? Its not hot (its the sweet paprika), and it has a milder flavor than the leading brand Szeged. It says its a product of Hungary but everything else on the label show it was made in Jersey. I dont know. I was expecting a better color and flavor, this is just kind of, blah. My paprikas usually has nice, deep red color but the last bacth i mad edidnt come out as good as ive had before. In a pinch, it came quick and gave an ok flavor. But i dont think ill buy it again. Ill stick with what i know, which is a different brand.
