These were just ok. Not my favorite for using in drinks like apple cider. Though did not mind when using them for just adding a bit of scent via a boiling pot of water along with other potpourriin it. I like doing that in the winter months to give the room a bit of holiday feelscent and to help with the dry air. So even though I did not use it much in my tea or other hot beverages I did end up finding a use for it. Not one I would go out of my way to get again because did not give a good punch of cinnamon that I like

These cinnamon sticks have weird smells and i dont think should be put into any drinks directly. I used it for a beef stew and its not too bad. But again, the scent is strong and weird. Might need to double think if you plan to use it for dessert.

Ceylon tea tends to be pricy, and has a different flavor from Cassia, which I prefer in baked goods and like well enough in tea. To test this cinnamon, I put a whole stick in my tea to steep with the leaves. It's strong enough to flavor multiple pots of tea, and I suspect that a tincture or syrup could be very effective. Breaking the sticks down or grinding them would likely release the most scent. The packet is sturdy but smelly a sort of chemical scent. When you open the bag you can't smell the cinnamon. This does affect the cinnamon but doesn't seem to show up in my tea. Overall I'd recommend the vendor change their bags, and until they do, shop around somewhere else for ceylon. This is a lot of cinnamon at a good value, but the smell of the bag drags the product down. This is a generously sized bag of cinnamon sticks. There was an unusual odor when the bag was first opened, but I think it may have been due to the way the cinnamon was packaged I suspect they used a gas to displace oxygen and keep the spices fresh. The odor dissipated after the bag was left open for a few days, but so did the odor of cinnamon from the intact sticks. However, when I broke apart one of the sticks, it did immediately release a pleasant cinnamon smell. I'm not convinced these would be a good long term source of cinnamon scent in potpourri or holiday decor.

I was looking for good quality cinnamon and I found it. I make teas with it and it's great. Would recommend this product to anyone looking for good tasting quality cinnamon. Thank you!
