Tasty but soft

I'm giving a poor review because these peppercorns are super soft. It's like they weren't cookeddried all the way. I am not sure how peppercorns are typically prepared but something doesn't seem right with these. They taste fine, but in my peppercorn grinder it feels like I'm grinding air. Flakes of peppercorn fall into my food but there is no satisfying crunch factor with the grinder nor in my food. I'm not a fan and will not be buying these again, especially considering their price.

Organic black peppercorn that I've purchased is of a very good quality. It is not old and it adds a lot flavor to the food that i cook.
